SALDA SMARTY X HRV- Premium Indoor Air Quality & Maximum Energy Savings

The SMARTY XV series is a highly energy-efficient, compact vertical air handling unit (supply and exhaust) designed to provide premium indoor air quality. It is equipped with advanced EC technology fans and a plate heat exchanger that achieves a heat recovery efficiency of up to 94%, classifying the system in the top A+ energy class. Its compact design and fully integrated smart automation system significantly simplify installation while ensuring perfectly hygienic operation in compliance with the strictest European standards (VDI 6022-1).

Creating a Healthy Microclimate

The SMARTY XV (Vertical) series is designed to easily remove polluted air and provide a constant supply of clean, filtered air, creating the ideal indoor environment. It is equipped with a G4 or M5 filtration system (for supply air), which can be optionally upgraded with M7 or F7 filters for even higher protection. The unit ensures excellent air quality (meeting the European VDI 6022-1 standard) and protects the space from moisture buildup, maintaining oxygen levels and a comfortable temperature.

Energy Efficiency and Economy

The unit drastically helps in lowering electricity bills by conserving the energy usually lost through natural ventilation. Heat from the exhaust air is transferred to the incoming air via the plate heat exchanger, achieving a heat recovery efficiency of up to 94%. This significantly reduces the workload of heating and cooling (HVAC) systems. Furthermore, the modern EC motor technology ensures extremely low energy consumption during operation. The system boasts an A+ energy class rating.

Innovative Materials and Durability

The casing of the unit is made of galvanized steel, covered with a special powder enamel coating that guarantees 100% protection against corrosion. It offers high durability alongside 30 mm acoustic and thermal insulation. Inside, it features a highly efficient plate heat exchanger. The fans utilize motors with high-performance bearings, designed to operate for up to 40,000 hours without requiring lubrication, thus minimizing maintenance needs.

Heat and Moisture Recovery

The system offers top heat recovery efficiency reaching 95%. In addition, an enthalpy exchanger is available as an option, which recovers up to 80% of moisture, preventing air dryness in winter. This type of exchanger does not require condensate drainage and prevents ice formation even in extreme temperatures down to -30°C.

Flexible Filtration and Air Quality

The unit comes with factory-fitted G4 filters (or M5 for specific models), while offering the option to upgrade to higher retention F7 or M7 filters for maximum protection against fine dust and allergens. The system is ready to accept optional CO2 or humidity (RH) sensors. Through these, the device activates the CO2 Reduction Function, automatically adjusting the ventilation rate to consistently maintain the optimal air quality and humidity levels in the room. Furthermore, it incorporates a filter change alert based on a timer or pressure switch.

Smart Control and Special Functions

The control of the installation adapts perfectly to your needs through advanced wall-mounted controllers (such as Stouch, Ptouch, and Flex) or fully remotely by adding the MB-Gateway module for web-based control. The automation board offers advanced operating scenarios: weekly scheduling, an intensive ventilation function (BOOST) for immediate air purification, dryness protection, as well as the special Fireplace function, which creates the appropriate pressure in the room to facilitate lighting the fireplace while preventing smoke backdraft.

Useful Information & FAQ

What is an ERV system?

An ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) system continuously supplies your space with fresh, filtered air and removes stale air, without losing the valuable energy of heating or cooling. Through a special heat exchanger, the unit recovers heat and moisture, pre-heating the outdoor air in winter and pre-cooling it in summer. This process significantly reduces power consumption and takes the load off your air conditioners, always maintaining the ideal temperature at home. It is the perfect solution for modern, energy-efficient buildings, ensuring a completely healthy and comfortable living environment in the most economical way.

The Benefits of an ERV System

Stagnant indoor air degrades our quality of life, allowing viruses and harmful particles to accumulate. ERV systems directly address this problem by continuously replacing "stale" air with fresh and clean air. Additionally, they maintain the right humidity levels in the space, stopping mold growth and reducing allergens. The result is a truly clean, safe, and energy-efficient home, day and night.

Do I really need a heat exchanger?

The answer is "yes" if you are looking for fresh air without opening windows due to outside noise, exhaust fumes, or extreme temperatures. It is essential if you face humidity and mold problems due to inadequate ventilation, or if you suffer from allergies, needing an environment with continuously filtered, clean air. Finally, it is the ideal solution if you want to ventilate your space without losing the heat or coolness of your air conditioner, noticeably reducing energy costs. In these cases, installing it is not a luxury, but a substantial investment in the health and economy of your home.

Can I install it in an already inhabited home?

Yes, absolutely! Autonomous ventilation units are designed for easy installation without major renovations or complex piping. The process usually requires only drilling a hole in the outer wall and providing a power supply, making the installation fast and clean. It is the ideal choice for an immediate upgrade of the air quality in your bedroom, living room, or office, without disrupting your space.

Is maintaining a heat exchanger difficult or expensive?

Basic maintenance is extremely simple and you can do it yourself. All that is required is the regular cleaning of the filters (e.g., with a vacuum cleaner or water) and their periodic replacement depending on the pollution of the outside air. In this easy and economical way, you ensure the maximum performance of the device and absolute air cleanliness in your space for many years.

Do you handle the installation?

Yes! We partner with experienced technicians who can undertake the complete and safe installation of the heat exchanger in your space. You choose the ideal machine, and we connect you with our specialized partners for a flawless and guaranteed result, without any hassle.
