SALDA RIS P EKO 3.0 - Ceiling Mounted Air Handling Unit (HRV)

Air handling units RIS P EKO 3.0 are equipped with a high-efficiency cross-counter flow heat exchanger and EC motors. The range is designed with an extremely low height for easy installation under the ceiling, making it an ideal solution for the ventilation of houses, offices, or other heated premises such as classrooms, apartments, and conference rooms. The efficiency of the heat exchanger reaches up to 94%. Efficient air filtration with low pressure loss is ensured by panel filters class F7 for supply and M5 for exhaust.

SALDA RIS P EKO 3.0 - Ceiling Mounted Air Handling Unit (HRV)

High Efficiency and Energy Saving

The series is fully compliant with the ErP directive 2009/125/EC (ErP 2015), integrating energy-saving and low-noise EC fans. Energy is maximally conserved, as the cross-counter flow heat exchanger achieves an efficiency of up to 94%.

Compact Frameless Design

The design is optimized exclusively for indoor installation under the ceiling. The unit features a frameless construction made from double-skinned panels, providing both sound and thermal insulation. The insulation thickness is 20mm for the RIS 150 P EKO model and 30/50mm for the larger RIS 400-2500 P EKO 3.0 models. For installation, ceiling-mounted units are supplied with rubber gaskets that act as vibration absorbers.

Build Quality and Accessibility

Internal components are easily accessible via a hinged door with locks, which can also be completely removed for easier maintenance. The unit is equipped with a stainless steel condensate tray, and the installation process is quick and easy thanks to the fitted mounting brackets.

Plug & Play Control System

The unit features a fully integrated Plug&Play control system. Quick and easy access to the control board and Plug&Play connections is provided by opening a separate compartment on the side of the unit. The RIS 400-2500 P EKO 3.0 models are easily controlled using Flex or Stouch remote panels.

Filtration and Smart Sensors

The airflow is effectively filtered using M5 panel filters for exhaust and F7 for supply[cite: 3]. In the RIS 1200-2500 P EKO 3.0 models, filter conditions are monitored by integrated differential pressure switches. To further enhance indoor air quality, the 400-2500 models support the connection of optional CO2, pressure, or air flow sensors.

Temperature Management and By-pass

The units provide supply air temperature control and incorporate a motorized by-pass damper (on RIS 400-2500 P EKO 3.0 models). They come with an integrated electrical heater (easily removable or plug-in) and offer the option for a water heater/cooler on the duct. Additionally, the RIS 400-2500 P EKO 3.0 models include frost protection for the heat exchanger.

Useful Information & FAQ

What is an ERV system?

An ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) system continuously supplies your space with fresh, filtered air and removes stale air, without losing the valuable energy of heating or cooling. Through a special heat exchanger, the unit recovers heat and moisture, pre-heating the outdoor air in winter and pre-cooling it in summer. This process significantly reduces power consumption and takes the load off your air conditioners, always maintaining the ideal temperature at home. It is the perfect solution for modern, energy-efficient buildings, ensuring a completely healthy and comfortable living environment in the most economical way.

The Benefits of an ERV System

Stagnant indoor air degrades our quality of life, allowing viruses and harmful particles to accumulate. ERV systems directly address this problem by continuously replacing "stale" air with fresh and clean air. Additionally, they maintain the right humidity levels in the space, stopping mold growth and reducing allergens. The result is a truly clean, safe, and energy-efficient home, day and night.

Do I really need a heat exchanger?

The answer is "yes" if you are looking for fresh air without opening windows due to outside noise, exhaust fumes, or extreme temperatures. It is essential if you face humidity and mold problems due to inadequate ventilation, or if you suffer from allergies, needing an environment with continuously filtered, clean air. Finally, it is the ideal solution if you want to ventilate your space without losing the heat or coolness of your air conditioner, noticeably reducing energy costs. In these cases, installing it is not a luxury, but a substantial investment in the health and economy of your home.

Can I install it in an already inhabited home?

Yes, absolutely! Autonomous ventilation units are designed for easy installation without major renovations or complex piping. The process usually requires only drilling a hole in the outer wall and providing a power supply, making the installation fast and clean. It is the ideal choice for an immediate upgrade of the air quality in your bedroom, living room, or office, without disrupting your space.

Is maintaining a heat exchanger difficult or expensive?

Basic maintenance is extremely simple and you can do it yourself. All that is required is the regular cleaning of the filters (e.g., with a vacuum cleaner or water) and their periodic replacement depending on the pollution of the outside air. In this easy and economical way, you ensure the maximum performance of the device and absolute air cleanliness in your space for many years.

Do you handle the installation?

Yes! We partner with experienced technicians who can undertake the complete and safe installation of the heat exchanger in your space. You choose the ideal machine, and we connect you with our specialized partners for a flawless and guaranteed result, without any hassle.
